Throwdown this Saturday! Are you ready to eat?

This Saturday is the day for the LSF Throw-Down!

NOTE: We need to arrive at Acacia by 3pm to start the pasta cooking!

Date: Sat 30-Apr
Time: Arrive to Acacia Manor by 4pm, Dinner starts at 5pm. Targeting ending by 8p, but can hang out elsewhere!
The competition: Union City vs San Jose vs Santa Clara
The judges: Fremont Family
Location: 1742 Acacia way, Fremont

The Challenge: 5 dishes cooking for 15-20 people
-Appetizer: Bruschetta. Served in 1 bowl only. Bread to be provided by Family.
-Entree: "Pasta Sauce". Served in single pot, will be kept on warm at Acacia.
-Side: Any Veggie dish. Served in a glass baking dish.
-Kids meal: Mac n’ Cheese. Served in a glass baking dish.
-Dessert: Best store bought dessert.

Rules:
-Team with the most tickets win
-Teams must arrive in time for dinner to begin at 5pm
-Each person may only contribute one dish (Preparing/cooking)
-All Cooking & All Preparation must be started and completed on Saturday 30-Apr
-Groceries can be purchased before Saturday
-$75 max budget. Ok to use existing staple items at the home (as if you were cooking for LSFG)

Points: Team with greatest # of tickets win. Each judge will receive tickets to be awarded for each dish.
Appetizer: 3 tickets
Pasta: 5 tickets
Veggie: 3 tickets
Mac&Cheese: 3 tickets
Dessert: 3 points tickets
For example: When a judge begins to award tickets for the pasta sauce , he has 5 total tickets to give. Judge can distribute 3/1/1 or 2/2/1, or even 5/0/0.

To be replaced by THROWDOWN 2011! If you don't know what Throwdown is or who Bobby Flay is, please turn on your television. Just Kidding! It is a cooking competition competing on specific dishes.
